This gorgeous little fellow is hand made by Mariam Gupta in a tiny pottery studio in Cornwall.

Technique - Mariam uses porcelain clay which she presses into a mould that she designed and made using plaster.
 
Once the Badger has dried she cleans and tidies the edges by hand and makes the hole for hanging.

When they are fully dry they are fired in her kiln at 1096c. She then hand paints them using a colour layering technique, glazes them and fires them again to 1296c, making them glossy and heard wearing.

The finished decoration is strung on a durable rustic wax cord suitable for indoor and outdoor hanging.

Each little Badger is hand made and painted so they may vary slightly, making each one unique and individual.
